ABOUT
Philip Lique lives and works in Miami, Florida. Lique received BFA in graphic design from Paier College of Art (2004) and an MFA in painting from Western Connecticut State University (2008). Lique has Participated in residencies at Vermont Studio Center (Johnson,Vermont), University of Connecticut, (Stoors, Connecticut ), Zona Imaginaria (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and currently an artist in residence at the Bakehouse Art Complex ( Miami, Florida ).
Maintaining a cross-disciplinary practice, Lique manipulates modest materials and means to build, dismantle, and reconstruct projects until they are physically and conceptually exhausted. His work often references western history, myth, and mysticism.
